Polecat Uppercut

Polecat Uppercut is an open handed diagonal palm heal strike. Like a traditional uppercut punch, the arm is sent directly upwards through the front guard to land on either the chin, face, solarplexus etc..

Incorperated into the direct upwards motion, the Polecat Uppercut also travels diagonal or accross the face of the opponent similar to that of a roundhouse or hooking punch. This has the advantage of using a strong hooking motion alongside a quick hard to block direct upper cut.

The palm heel is the prefered striking tool for the uppercut, the palm heel in the style of the Polecat Hand or Claw is particulary useful as the opponents chin or jaw can easily fit into the stiking hands indentation, allowing a strong amount of energy transfer during the strike.

Normal seiken fists, backhands or hammerfists can also be used for this uppercut. Remember the emphasis is the round hooking motion combined with the direct sneakiness of the uppercut.
