Polecat Tipping Punch used in MMA

Polecat Tipping Punch

The Tipping Punch

Polecats second main punch is the Tipping punch. Again this punch is directly driven from the front of the body. With a clenched fist hovering in front of your own face, initially as a disguise, such as to portray anxiety, nail biting, picking or scratching the nose, and with the elbow bent and tucked close to the body and in front of your chest, the punch again is simply driven out at the attacker by snapping the elbow straight, which forces the punch directly outwards.

At the end of the punch, the fist is quickly flicked downwards in a spasming motion or infliction towards the opponent in a tipping or inflicting manor, this technique is used to inflict the maximum amount of energy transferred from your strike in to the vital points of your opponent. The Eyes, nose, jaw, neck and solar plexus all make great good target areas for this punch.

Remember, the faster you can pull the jab back, the quicker the arm is available to be used for punching again!
