Combination Techniques Level 1

Polecat Combinations are sequences of two or more techniques used in combination to form an attack. As usual in the Polecat Martial Art, the combos are not designed for merely attacking an opponent but instead are designed to help you counter attack should an opponent make a violent move towards you.

In this first combination sequence, a punch is blocked by use of an elbow strike to the upper part of the opponents arm. At the same time, the attackers punching arm is then quickly grabbed into an eagle claw. An Eagle Claw is a tight wrist lock style grip which pushed into pressure points on the meridians that flow through the wrist. The elbow strike employed at the beggining of the procedure now opens up into a Polecat Hand or Knife Hand strike to the side of the neck of your attacker. Raising the attackers arm and hitting downwards should force the attacker towards the floor, keeping a firm hold of the attackers arm and stepping through your opponent will bring the attacker to the floor in a very uncomfortable position with the arm kept to place the opponent into a an arm bar submission technique by keeping the arm bent right up behind your attackers back.

At this point, the attack should be ready to submit, offering you a chance to either escape the situation or to continue to carry out further techniques on the attacker.
