2. Mastoid, this lies just underneath the ear in the hole between the ear and the jaw, hit or poke with single finger or knuckle to activate this pressure point, a punch will require slightly more power but will cause trauma in the local area if applied correctly.
3. Infraorbital, situated central under the nose where it meets the top of the gum, a very nice place for a direct fist to land, the nerve can be activated by hitting in and upwards towards the nose.
4. Jugliar, this is central on the throat in the notch where the ribs begin just a few below the adams apple, activate by firmly pushing fingers in and down towards the lungs and body.

7. Bicep, the posing muscle on the upper part of the arm, strike hard towards the inside of the Bicep with a punch or use your fingers to prise on the Biceps starting point near the elbow for a very painful effect on the attacker.
8. Forearm, there are dozens of accesible pressure points on the soft vein side of the forearm, a number of techniques can be used here from punching, nipping, poking and hard rubbing in this area to activate pressure points.
9. Wrist, Especially vunerable is the area where you can feel your pulse on the heart meridian, strike hard or hold this area tight with fingers to activate both the heart and lung pressure points.
10. Groin, Kicking grabbing or striking hard into the groin is extremly painfull, it is also one of the most reactive places of the body, if struck the person will react by leaning forward, attack high again at this point.
11. Knee, this can be kicked just above or just below the knee cap to activate the various points which can weaken or cause the leg to calapse.
12. Foot, can be stood on or kicked at either side of the ankle to cause a painful reaction to your opponent. Pressure points exsist along the top and side of the feet and ankles, go in hard for maximum effect.

With these vital points, while there is always a correct or more effective way to strike, there is also no right or wrong way to use the vital points in a real self defense situation. In a real fight you may or may not be able to access or strike any of these areas, but like a swiss army knife, think of your body as a tool that has countless posibilties for striking, by using the fingers, elbows, punches, legs etc.. so it is quite probable that at some point during a fight you will have a good chance of using or finding one or more of the 12 vital points to hopefully get the reaction from your attacker to either let you escape or to be controlled and contained by means of defeating your attacker.

Remember though, the best Self Defense of all is to avoid fights and violent circumstances and situations. Be Peaceful !
